When the FCC opened up to comments regarding their proposed rulemaking process against five Chinese companies, including Dahua Technology, they were deluged with protesting comments by dozens of manufactures, customers, dealers, trade groups and industry associations, and many others.
Dahua USA joined in the voices of protest with our own letter to the FCC, that included several arguments regarding the validity and even the legality of the proposed ban against our products.
Our arguments centered around several points:
- We questioned whether the FCC is overstepping their authority
- Lack of evidence supporting the reasons behind the proposed ban
- Potential constitutional issues surrounding the ban
- The cost of the ban to the US market
